Advice from A Nutritional Advisor – Boosting Your Immune System

A fact that not many people are aware of is that the body requires more than just Vitamin C to boost the immune system. Did you know that 80% of your immune system resides in your gut?
Any attempts to bolstering your immunity, must address the gut as well. There are roughly 1000 trillion organisms that make up your bodies microbiome which are directly responsible fir your body’s ability to fight infection.

A weak, unbalanced collection of microbiota (gut bacteria) leaves you vulnerable to both minor illness and more serious health conditions.
Ensure you give your body the tools it needs with nutrient dense whole foods to boost your overall health to enable you body to fight back.

Tips to remember,
-Ensure you are on a good gut balancing pro-biotic, I recommend Flora Food to my clients due to its wide range of benefits and trusted source .

Heal the gut with a chlorophyll based whole food such as BarleyLife, that will heal the micro villi allowing for optimal nutrient absorption.
Avoid processed sugar in your diet…. processed sugar stops function of Immune System for up to 4 hours and also leads to an acidic pH in the body.

-Be on a bioavailable calcium, Vitamin C & magnesium, zinc complex such as CalciAIM. The synergy of minerals and vitamins paired together is important to allow for maximum absorption in the body.

Alkalise your blood by eating alkalising fruit & veg as disease thrives in an acid environment.

-Look at investing  in an immune boosting bio available antioxidant complex such as Proancynol 2000.

MANAGE Stress… stress leaves an Acid Residue/footprint on blood… if blood acidic you have weak Immune System…  I usually suggest Composure in my practice to help with managing stress and it supports neuro health.

Sleep 7 to 8 hours per night… make sure this is Good Quality Deep Sleep

-Stay hydrated!

In this challenging time, take the opportunity to slow down, make your health a priority and invest in your immune system.
